Family and Seniors Policy

Intent on ensuring that its practices consistently correspond to the needs of the population, in 2014, the Town of Rosemère decided to revise the family policy it had adopted in 2004, in order to include the Age-Friendly Municipality (AFM) facet, focused on adapting infrastructures, services and programs to an aging population. The policy was revised in 2015.

The approach to developing this policy has largely been based on a consultative approach combining discussion groups (citizens, elected officials and municipal employees) and the administration of an online survey of families. Senior citizens had already been consulted at a major forum held in 2013.

Rosemère’s Family and Seniors Policy seeks to mobilize. Its orientations and objectives seek to not only maintain but enhance the Rosemère community’s outstanding living environment for the benefit of its families and senior citizens.
