Compliance with the watering by-law
In recent days, the Town of Rosemère has noted a significant increase in water flow at its facilities, particularly after midnight. Citizens are asked to comply with the by-law relating to the consumption of potable water.
We remind you that the watering of lawns is authorized exclusively from April 15 to October 15, according to the following schedule:
Even-numbered addresses: Monday and Thursday.
Odd-numbered addresses: Wednesday and Sunday.
Automatic watering (programmable underground watering system): authorized from 10 p.m. to midnight exclusively.
Mechanical watering (aboveground watering system with no continuous intervention by the user): authorized only from 7 to 9 a.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Manual watering (watering using a hose with a spray nozzle or fitted with an automatic shut-off device, and held continuously by the user): authorized at all times.
Watering when it rains is prohibited. If you have an automatic watering system, take care! It should be fitted with an automatic rain detector.
Using water to hose down driveways and paved areas is prohibited.
Drinking water is an invaluable resource that is expensive to produce.
Your collaboration is greatly appreciated!
