SUSTAINABLE FEMININE HYGIENE PRODUCTS

The Town of Rosemère offers residents an opportunity to obtain financial assistance of up to $40 per 3-year period for the purchase of sustainable feminine hygiene products or fabrics to make reusable (washable) sanitary napkins.

Buy menstrual cups, pantiliners and sanitary napkins that are washable, reusable and designed for use by women and apply for financial assistance from the Town. Simple, green and easy! We are proud to encourage this good deed for the environment!

How do I apply for the grant? 

  • Download and fill out the Durable Feminine Hygiene Products Grant Program form
  • Include a copy of invoices dated within the last 3 months showing the name of the company that made the sale and its GST and QST numbers
  • Attach a proof of residence

Then, send the form and the required documents by email to loisirs@ville.rosemere.qc.ca or in person at the Community Services office located at 325, chemin de la Grande-Côte.

REUSABLE DIAPERS

The Town of Rosemère offers families the possibility of applying for a rebate of up to $150 per eligible child against the purchase of a set of washable baby diapers.Diaper facts and figures

The average baby goes through 2 400 diapers a year.A set of cloth diapers costs between $700 and $1 000, laundering included. For disposable diapers, the total cost runs anywhere from $2 000 to $2 500.In Quebec alone, some 600 million diapers are thrown away every year.A disposable diaper takes 300 to 500 years to decompose in a landfill site.

How do I apply for the grant?

  • Attach a copy of the bills
  • Attach proof of residence and proof of birth of the child

ONE BIRTH, ONE TREE

The Town of Rosemère offers new parents the possibility of applying for a $150 rebate against the purchase of a tree to plant on their property to commemorate the birth of their child.

How do I apply for the grant?

  • Download and complete the Family Assistance Grant Program form
  • Include a copy of the invoices, as well as a photograph of the tree planted
  • Attach proof of residence and proof of birth of the child

Then send the form and the required documents by email to permis.inspections@ville.rosemere.qc.ca or in person at the Permits and Inspection office located at 100 Charbonneau Street.

ONE BIRTH, ONE BOOK

Under this program, the Town of Rosemère offers a gift package to welcome newborns into the community.

How do I apply for the grant?

  • Download and complete the Family Assistance Grant Program form
  • Attach proof of residency and proof of birth of the child
  • Create a Citizen Card for your newborn

REIMBURSEMENT OF NON-RESIDENT FEES FOR AQUATIC ACTIVITIES

The Town of Rosemère believes that access to swimming lessons is essential for safety around water bodies. Therefore, the Town offers a reimbursement to all Rosemère residents who register for a group aquatic activity, i.e. swimming lessons (Red Cross program, fitness), with municipalities offering such activities, up to a maximum of $40 per session (fall-winter-spring) or $120 per calendar year, per person.

How do I apply for the grant?

  • Download and complete the Non-Resident Aquatic Reimbursement Policy form
  • Attach copies of invoices and proof of registration
  • Attach proof of residency 
  • Send your request by January 15 following the year of your aquatic activity registration. No refunds will be issued after this deadline.
Refunds will be issued once a year, in February, for registrations made during the previous year. Please note that this agreement is effective as of August 2019. Swim lessons taken prior to this date are not eligible for a refund.
