In an introductory activity, citizens will learn to find their way around the different routes using an orientation map and a compass.
In partnership with Loisirs Laurentides and AzimutLaurentides, the cities of Sainte-Thérèse, Lorraine and Rosemère are inaugurating their orienteering courses that are accessible free of charge in certain parks in the three municipalities.
The objective is to find your way from a starting point to a finishing point using only an orienteering map, a smart phone, a compass (optional) and your sense of direction. The level of difficulty of the race is determined by the distance to be covered and the number of markers to be found.
Try this brand new sport at an introductory event to be held in Rosemère on May 21, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the parking lot of the Sainte-Françoise-Cabrini church.
If you are unable to attend on May 21, you may take the course at any time, at your convenience.
