Rosemère en Arts 2026: An artistic event not to be missed

The Town of Rosemère is pleased to announce the fifth edition of Rosemère en Arts, which will take place on June 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., on the grounds of the Recreation Department building and Sainte-Françoise-Cabrini Church as well as the H.-J. Hemens Public Library.

This art event will bring together some sixty artists from various regions of Quebec, including several from Rosemère who are members of the Rosemère Artists Gathering (RAR). This year, the symposium will welcome Mr. Maxime Lacourse, a painter with nearly 35 years of experience, as its guest artist. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch live demonstrations by the artist, whose works have been exhibited in Quebec and internationally. Younger visitors can also enjoy this colourful and creative weekend thanks to activities designed especially for them: a magic show, a circus workshop, and a sculpture workshop. Activities for children are free, but some require advance registration.

“Rosemère en Arts has become a must-see event in our cultural calendar. It’s an artistic gathering that draws a passionate and enthusiastic audience. The activities on the program are sure to appeal to connoisseurs, curious visitors and young families alike. I warmly invite you to this event celebrating art in its many forms. It’s a wonderful opportunity to discover local artists and celebrate spring!” said Rosemère Mayor Marie-Elaine Pitre.

The Town of Rosemère is proud to support this initiative with $10,000 in financial assistance as well as access to equipment and technical assistance from staff members. The Rosemère Artists Gathering (RAR) is the organization in charge of the event.

“Beyond the artworks themselves, we’re offering a genuine human connection: opportunities to talk with the artists, live demonstrations, and moments of discovery for the whole family. This symposium is a vibrant space where art becomes accessible, unifying, and deeply human. May this weekend be a celebration of creativity and a time to connect with art for everyone,” explained RAR President Caroline Foley.
