The mission of the Town Planning, Permits and Inspections Department is to plan and manage the development of the municipal territory, ensuring optimal harmony among its various uses. It also ensures respect for the integrity of the built environment and urban landscape, so as to preserve residents’ quality of life.

The director is supported by a full-time secretary and three full-time inspectors.
Fields of intervention
The Town Planning, Permits and Inspections Department is responsible for planning the development of the territory. Among others, it is responsible for:
- working with citizens or developers on construction and renovation projects
- the management of by-laws relating to construction and quality of life as well as control of permits and certificates dealing with the execution of work
- relations between the Town and the Thérèse-De Blainville RCM and the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal
