Rosemère in Bloom

Rosemère in Bloom is an annual photo contest that residents can enter free of charge. Prospective contestants in all categories must submit an entry form online, along with a picture. A prize ceremony is held this fall.

The categories are:

  • Environmental Action (beneficial actions for nature to promote healthy habits to improve our living environment.)
  • Backyard (any size)
  • Front in Bloom — Residential
  • Front in Bloom — Commercial
  • Floral (plant photographed up close, taken vertically)
  • Vegetable Garden
  • Marilyn-Proulx Cosy Corner
  • Pollinator in action on plant (taken vertically)

As of June 4, 2025, register for the Rosemère in Bloom contest by filling out the interactive form and send it, along with your photo, by August 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., by e-mail to loisirs@ville.rosemere.qc.ca.


Finalists and winners will receive a Place Rosemère gift card, the value of which will be as follows:

  • Finalists: $35
  • Sector winner: $85 (total value)
  • Grand prize winner by category: $135 (total value)

Photographs received in the categories below may be selected to be reproduced on one of the Town’s flag:

gardening bazaar

Gardening Bazaar event will be held at the Hamilton House gardens, on July 13, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • Plants for sale: Perennials, annuals, edible plants, tree saplings, houseplants and more
  • Also available to buy: Flowerpots, sprinklers, gardening accessories and implements, yard decorations and gardening-related antiques
  • Christmas decorations and used furniture

Donations of objects and accessories

Interested in donating plants or gardening items, Christmas decorations and used furniture? Give them a second life by dropping them off at the Ecocentre. At the event, they will be resold at reasonable prices, with proceeds going to a worthy cause*. It’s good for the planet, and good for the community!

Art exhibition

A number of talented local painters will be on site to show some of their work.

Tour of the Hamilton House Gardens and Bouthillier Marsh

Come admire the beautifully landscaped grounds at Hamilton House and stroll through the natural marvel that is Bouthillier Marsh. Two wonderful destinations for you to explore!


SECRET GARDENS TOUR

On July 13, 2025 (from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.), discover a host of hidden horticultural gems as homeowners open up their yards to the public.

Tickets available for purchase on site at Hamilton House ($10 apiece*).

*All proceeds to go to Les Petits Plaisirs, a respite care organization.

Pick up your guide to learn how to create a backyard oasis where you can watch and support monarch butterflies throughout their life cycle, from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to adult.
