Smart Cities Challenge

On June 1st, the Honorable Amarjeet Sohi, Minister of Infrastructure and Communities, announced the names of the 20 finalists for the Smart Cities Challenge. More than 200 communities, large and small, across Canada have taken up the Challenge by bringing forward innovative ideas that have the potential to make improvements in their communities, in areas such as reconciliation, language and cultural protection of aboriginal people, food security, improved education and health care for youth and children, and affordable housing.

The Town of Rosemère would like to thank its citizens who participated in large numbers in the survey to support the Town in its candidacy.

April 4, 2018 - The Town of Rosemère is excited to announce that it will be entering the competition to submit a proposal within the Government of Canada's Smart City Challenge. This cross-Canada competition invites municipalities to present their best ideas, stemming from a consultation among their population, to improve the lives of the residents through innovation, data and connected technologies.
To support the Town in its application to take part in the competition and increase the chances of seeing its collective project materialize, the entire Rosemère community was invited to respond to the survey that was posted online, April 4-15.
