The Town has decided
to enact a 0% interest rate on unpaid tax bills for citizens and merchants from
March 3 to May 3, 2021.
In practical terms, this measure allows residents to postpone, until May 3, 2021 inclusively, the payment scheduled for March 3, 2021, without any financial impact. For the next payments, this decision will be reviewed according to subsequent developments of the situation.

Please note that due to the closure of Town Hall to the public, payment of the municipal tax bill cannot be made at the reception desk until further notice. Citizens are invited to transmit their payment electronically from this page, from their financial institution or by cheque (by mail or drop it in the mailbox at Town Hall).

REQUEST FOR PropERTY ASSESSMENT REVIEW
The owners have until April 30, 2021 to contest their new assessment for 2021-2022-2023. They must fill out the “Administrative review of municipal property assessment” form in the Forms section and submit it to the Finance Department by the deadline (along with a non-refundable fee). If property owners don't agree with the new assessment, they may submit their case to the Tribunal administratif du Québec.

DUTIES ON TRANSFERS OF IMMOVABLES
The duties on transfers of immovables are imposed at the time of purchase of an immovable and are payable in one instalment.In accordance with the Act respecting duties on transfers of immovables, the transfer duties for properties are calculated as follows:
- 0.5% of the basis of imposition which does not exceed $ 52,800
- 1.0% of the basis of imposition which is in excess of $ 52,800 but does not exceed $ 264,000
- 1.5% of the basis of imposition which is in excess of $ 264,000 but does not exceed $ 500,000
- 3.0% of the basis of imposition which exceeds $ 500,000
- the amount of the consideration furnished for the transfer of the immovable (amount actually paid excluding GST and QST)
- the amount of the consideration stipulated for the transfer of the immovable (amount shown on the deed of sale)
- the amount of the market value of the immovable at the time of its transfer
