Bicycle network: Rosemère receives a grant from Trans Canada Trail

As part of the project to rehabilitate part of the bicycle path north of Highway 640, Rosemère would like to warmly thank the Trans Canada Trail organization for their financial support, which made it possible to carry out this project for a totalling sum of $382,000 before taxes.  Thanks to their generous grant of $110,000, Trans Canada Trail supports our local network (Le P'tit Train du Nord) while contributing to the continuous improvement of this great trail on a national scale.

Since the end of September 2020, the 1.4 km section between Roland-Durand Boulevard and Montée Lesage north of Highway 640 received major repairs in the fall. Thanks to the mild fall weather of the last few days, the paving, which was not scheduled to be completed until 2021, was completed last week. Cyclists can now use this bicycle path section travel there in complete safety. In the spring of 2021, all that will be left to do is finalize the landscaping.

"This section of the bicycle path, linking the cities of Blainville, Rosemère and Sainte-Thérèse, is a section heavily used by our citizens, but also by neighbouring cities. We are proud, thanks in part to the generous grant from Trans Canada Trail, to be able to offer our citizens, but also all users of the P'tit Train du Nord, safe active mobility infrastructures," said Eric Westram, Mayor of Rosemère.
