City of Sainte-Thérèse to carry out infrastructure work along Curé-Labelle Boulevard starting October 5
Beginning October 5, the City of Sainte-Thérèse will carry out major work on a water main in Rosemère located beneath Curé-Labelle Boulevard, between Bouthillier Street and Autoroute 640. The work is expected to take approximately two months.
This water main is a critical asset in the water supply system, serving Rosemère and several neighbouring municipalities including Sainte-Thérèse, Boisbriand, Blainville and Mirabel. The planned work is therefore essential to ensure the long-term sustainability of this infrastructure and maintain a reliable, continuous supply of drinking water.
Construction-related traffic disruptions
Traffic restrictions on Curé-Labelle Boulevard will be required while the work is underway. On the northbound side, the left lane will be closed between Bouthillier Street and Autoroute 640. In the southbound direction, access to businesses on the east side of the boulevard will be unavailable because the turning lanes will be closed.
A detour route will nevertheless be provided to maintain access to the affected establishments. Motorists are encouraged to allow for extra travel time and obey all temporary road signs in the area.
The Town of Rosemère recognizes the inconvenience that these traffic restrictions may cause and thanks road users, business owners and residents for their patience and cooperation. The public is also reminded that this work is necessary to maintain the performance, reliability and sustainability of this regional infrastructure, which is vital to the supply of drinking water.
