Collective Agreement Renewed, for Ongoing Stability and Continuity
The Town of Rosemère is pleased to announce that the collective agreement for white-collar and blue-collar employees represented by CUPE Local 4756 has been renewed for 2025 to 2029. The agreement, which provides for gradual wage increases over the five-year period, was approved by a majority of employees.
On hand when the new agreement was signed on September 29 were Rosemère Mayor Marie-Elaine Pitre and General Manager Catherine Adam, along with members of the bargaining committee: Isabelle Rivest, the Town’s Director of Human Resources; Michelle Brideau, representative of CUPE Local 4756; Karine Paquette, President and Secretary General of the Syndicat de la fonction publique et parapublique du Québec (SFPQ) ; and Roxane Primeau, Vice-President, White-Collar Sector.
“I am very proud to announce the renewal of the collective agreement for our employees,” said Mayor Pitre. “Our talks were respectful and constructive, which allowed the parties to reach a satisfactory conclusion. This agreement reaffirms the Town’s commitment to providing the public with high-quality services and ensuring long-term stability for our staff. Thank you to everyone involved for their cooperation throughout.”
Wage increases through 2029
The agreement provides for wage increases of 5% in 2025 and 2.65% in 2026, followed by annual increases between 2.5% and 3% in the years that follow, depending on changes in the Consumer Price Index.
“These increases underscore the Town’s commitment to employees and their well-being,” said SFPQ President and Secretary General Karine Paquette. “They are key to fostering a healthy, harmonious working environment and a climate of trust.”
Signing the new collective agreement marks a significant step in the Town of Rosemère’s labour relations. With the agreement in place, municipal teams will be able to focus fully on their mission and community priorities in the coming years.
