Info - Power Outages ( 7 p.m.)
According to the latest information we have received from Hydro-Québec, a number of residents will have to be patient, as electricity will not be restored until Wednesday. The Town of Rosemère wishes to inform residents who require overnight accommodations that they will be able to go to the Memorial Community Centre, 202 Grande-Côte Road, where the Red Cross will provide 50 camping cots, blankets and pillows. Microwaves and electrical connections are also available at the Centre. Please note that the community centre does not have any shower facilities. Don’t forget to bring your personal hygiene kit.
It has been brought to our attention that some restaurants or groceries in the area are open, including Maxi (339, Roselle, Rosemère, Rosemère), Rosemère Metro (348, Grande-Côte Road, Rosemère), IGA (450 Rue Blainville E, Sainte-Thérèse and 220 St-Charles St., Sainte-Thérèse), Frais de la Ferme (109, Grande-Côte Road, Boisbriand), Chez Laurin (145 Labelle Blvd, Rosemère), Coq-O -Bec (59, Montée Gagnon, Bois-des-Fillion) and the restaurants of Faubourg Boisbriand.
Also, since residential sump pumps do not work due to lack of electricity, stay alert.
We remind the public not to use fuel-burning appliances, outdoor portable generators or stoves designed for outdoor use (barbecue), as they pose a risk of asphyxiation and intoxication.
