Support Local Shopping at Rosemère is My Business

The Town of Rosemère, the Chambre de commerce et d'industrie Thérèse-De Blainville (CCITB) and its Aile des gens d'affaires de Rosemère (AGAR) are proud to announce the launch of a collective project uniting all Rosemerites: Rosemère c’est mon affaire! (Rosemère is my business!)

Thanks to the Town of Rosemère’s financial support, AGAR is launching this participatory fund-raising campaign that will help inject some $30,000 into the local economy. Residents will be able to obtain $20 purchase vouchers at participating businesses and the Town will increase the value of these vouchers by 50% ($10). This initiative will contribute toward local businesses’ economic recovery and sustainability. To find out which businesses are participating and to purchase your vouchers, go to https://laruchequebec.com/rosemerecestmonaffaire.

Once all the vouchers have been sold, Caisse Desjardins Thérèse-De Blainville, as an encouragement to businesses, but also to reinforce the importance of supporting local organizations in these difficult times, is committed to generously donating $1,000 to Entraide Rosemère. This organization helps needy person, whether it be through food vouchers, or assistance to young families, disabled persons or persons in loss of autonomy.

In this way, citizens get more value for their money, the merchant gets customers and Entraide Rosemère receives funds to carry out its mission.

"We wanted to present the community with an initiative that would benefit everyone, and that's how we came up with the idea. Not only do residents benefit from a bonus towards their purchases, but local businesses are also winners because they are offered great visibility as well as the assurance that this money will be spent here, locally, right in Rosemère! A great way to unite citizens, businesses and a organism of the community into a common purpose. We would like to thank Caisse Desjardins Thérèse-De Blainville for their contribution, and the Town of Rosemère for its financial support and its active participation in the success of this project," stated AGAR President Jessy Turcot.

"Our Rosemère businesses are at the heart of our daily lives; they are the soul of our town, to some extent. Both vibrant and comforting, our local businesses are run by passionate, committed, proud people. As much as the pandemic has hit people's health hard, it has hit the health of our businesses and organisms just as much. Let's change our habits; let's buy local! I’m sure you’ll make some wonderful discoveries here! With the holiday season now approaching, this is a great opportunity to spoil yourself or give Rosemère as a gift, while having a positive impact on the entire community," stated Rosemère Mayor Eric Westram.
