COVID-19 - Update of April 17

Don't let our guard down!

Since the beginning of this exceptional situation, our entire community has shown great vigilance and exemplary respect for government directives. Congratulations! We can be proud of our community!

Although our behaviour has been irreproachable, the battle is unfortunately not yet won. In this regard, it is important to mention that the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) region, of which Rosemère and the Thérèse De-Blainville RCM are part, is hard hit by this pandemic. The risk of contracting COVID-19 is still very present. The virus, which is invisible and insidious, is circulating and the community contagion is very real.

It is normal that after several weeks of confinement and with the arrival of spring weather, we are tempted to lower our guard. Not socializing with family and friends is not easy for anyone. Let us remember that it is crucial to continue to respect the guidelines of social distancing, to stay home and not to hold a gathering. Let's maintain our good habits and use technology to keep in touch with family and friends.

Together, let's stick together and try to find the positive in this whole situation. Surely, we will come out of it grown, united and stronger still. Our efforts will pay off and, most importantly, save lives!

Take heart, the beautiful days are coming. It's going to be ok!
