COVID-19 - Update of April 8
The Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville strengthens its powers
With the warmer temperatures, it is tempting to play outside and enjoy the sun. It is with great pleasure that we note that the majority of citizens are complying with the guidelines for social distancing. We remind you that the playgrounds and play structures are still closed. In this regard, the Mayor, who is also Chairman of the board of the Régie intermunicipale de police Thérèse-De Blainville, is in constant communication with the Director of the police Department. From now on, the Régie has new powers, as does the SPVM, to issue more forceful tickets against those who are resistant or careless and who do not comply with government directives. The idea is not to give tickets, but to save lives. Please, let's not give up and let's respect the 2 meter distance!
