Follow up on floods

The forecasts from the Government of Quebec experts are that the water level will continue to rise moderately by Monday.

City staff, with the help of volunteers, continue to solidify the dams, refit them as needed, and monitor them continuously to ensure they are watertight.

Please note that the federal government has issued a navigation ban on the Mille Îles River to help riparian citizens in their battle to protect their property from the water.

It is also important to respect road signs which, in some places, allow local traffic only.

Since City staff have been mobilized for several days to reduce the impact of floods on affected citizens, some municipal services may not be delivered as quickly as usual.

We thank you for your understanding and your solidarity.
