Public Consultations: Thank You!
Two public consultations on
Rosemère’s urbanistic vision were held on February19 and22, along
with a third session on February26 for local business professionals. Some
400people in total took part in these activities to have their say on the
Town’s future. Ongoing since 2018, this civic engagement process has made it
possible to reach out to all stakeholders within the community. The February
consultations were the last stage before a new urban plan is drafted, covering the
next 10years. “I was very pleased to see the huge turnout at these consultation
sessions,” Mayor Eric Westram was delighted to say. “The level of engagement
and involvement of the general public in this process has emphasized just how
much Rosemerites care about the Town’s development. They are committed to
establishing a shared vision and a plan that will be an accurate reflection of
our community and help us create the Rosemère of tomorrow, all with a maximum
of transparency.”
A report on the findings of these consultations will be published shortly via the Town’s communication platforms. Following this, the drafting of the new urban plan will kick off in order to provide access to a tool that will outline a comprehensive land-use planning vision based on the various issues currently at stake and key themes such as sustainable development, mobility and climate change.
