Spring flooding: The Town is ready!

The spring at our doorstep rhymes with snow melting and flooding. The Town of Rosemère wishes to inform the population that it is ready to intervene at any time should such an event occur.

When snowmelt and ground thaw begins, the Town monitors the river level and possible water accumulations in order to intervene quickly if necessary.

During this monitoring period, we would like to remind citizens living in at-risk areas to prepare now for the spring flooding. Visit our website to consult our brochure and learn about the preventive measures to be taken. In addition, we invite you to prepare a scenario for accommodation in case of evacuation. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, it will not be possible to open the Community Center according to the Public Safety Department's guidelines.

If they have not already done so, we invite citizens to subscribe to the automated call system to receive emergency calls by sending us their contact information at communications@ville.rosemere.qc.ca. We also invite you to download the Voilà! app and subscribe to it: you will be fast informed of the evolution of the situation through text messages and notifications.

Protect your home from flooding this spring! Are you prepared?
