New collective agreement in Rosemère: A Work Climate that Delivers Results for Residents
The Town of Rosemère is proud to announce the renewal of its collective agreement with its white-collar and blue-collar employees represented by the Union of Public Employees (CUPE).
"A majority vote in favour of the tentative agreement clearly demonstrates the willingness of both parties to work together for the betterment of our residents. Despite the particular situation we are facing with the COVID-19 pandemic, respect and collaboration were maintained from start to finish at our negotiating table," stated Mr. Guy Benedetti, Rosemère's Town Manager.
This renewed collective agreement, which runs until December 31, 2024, includes an overall wage increase of approximately 10.5% for 5 years. Changes have also been made to certain clauses, notably to the hours of operation of the library, which will now be open every Saturday, including during the summer months from now on. In addition, the two parties have reached an agreement to set up a continuous improvement committee."Good working relationships are of paramount importance to our Administration. Collaboration is key. In fact, this new labour contract provides for the creation of a continuous improvement committee whose mission will be to identify, analyze and recommend all opportunities for improvement, optimization, and modification of work methods and processes at both the operational and administrative levels that could lead to annual savings. The objective here is to improve the organization's performance by relying on partnership and on the skills of internal resources in order to always serve Rosemerites better and better," stated Eric Westram, Mayor of the Town of Rosemère.
