Mayor's breakfast and conference on our urban forest - April 12, 2025

The next themed Mayor's Breakfast will be held on Saturday, April 12, starting at 9:30 a.m. in the atrium of the H.-J.-Hemens Municipal Library (339 Grande-Côte Road).



Two free activities are scheduled for the morning:


  • Between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m., meet and chat with the mayor and municipal councillors in a friendly atmosphere.
    (no reservations required).
  • From 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., take part in the "Discover our urban forest and learn how to look after the trees on your property" conference*, a presentation led by Caroline Roy, biologist and certified arborist from Xylème, a company offering tree expertise services in arboriculture and urban forestry.
    (Reservations recommended).

Rosemère is renowned for its natural environment. Among its riches: trees. Its urban forest is an inestimable source of greenery. It provides a service to society and contributes to the quality of life of its citizens. In fact, the Town has one of the highest canopy indices in the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal.

Discovering the urban forest

  • Basics on the importance of trees in the town
  • The benefits of urban trees
  • Presentation of Rosemère's urban forest


Learn how to take good care of the trees on your property

  • The impact of pruning on trees
  • Pruning basics
  • Practices harmful to trees (improper pruning, use of pesticides, etc.) 
  • Impact of root loss due to other uses of residential land
