New Town Council Members Sworn In: Committed to the Naturally Responsible Development of Rosemère

Rosemère’s newly elected town council was sworn in at a ceremony in the town council chambers on November 10. Supporters, family members and several distinguished guests were in attendance as the new council members took their oath of office and signed the official paperwork confirming the assumption of their duties.

The new mayor is former councillor Marie-Elaine Pitre. For the next four years, she will be working with a gender-balanced team of six councillors: Marie-Hélène Fortin, re-elected for a second term (Seat 1); Jean-François Gagnière (Seat 2); Stéphanie Nantel, re-elected for a third term (Seat 3); Annick Lemelin Lagacé (Seat 4); Sébastien Jacquet (Seat 5) and Elmer van der Vlugt (Seat 6).

“My heartfelt thanks go out to the people of Rosemère for their trust. The diverse backgrounds, complementary talents and innovative ideas of our team are what make us stand out. Each member brings their own specific expertise to the table and is deeply committed to our community. Together, we will put our skills to work to support sustainable development, the economy, culture, effective governance and local businesses, and we will do so with diligence, vision and integrity,” said Mayor Marie-Elaine Pitre.

The new council will sit for the first time on November 24 at 7:30 p.m. at Rosemère Town Hall (100 Charbonneau Street). All town council meetings are live-streamed.
