Official Reopening of Hamilton Park in Rosemère

On September 30, the Town of Rosemère officially reopened Hamilton Park, thereby marking the completion of major renovations carried out this past summer. Representing an investment of $280,000, these renovations have restored the sparkle to this neighbourhood park, which is so popular with children and their parents living nearby.

The playground, which welcomes children age 18 months to 12 years old, has been completely revitalized. The playground equipment has been renewed, the play surfaces have been refinished and one of the new swings features a parent-child seat. Young Rosemerite day campers chose the playground equipment from a proposed scale model. The park's landscaping was also enhanced, a concrete sidewalk was installed and the street furniture was replaced.

"Neighbourhood parks are an important part of the living environment for families in Rosemère and are enjoyed by children who learn to develop physical, social and creative skills through play. That's why our three-year capital expenditures program calls for the revitalization of certain parks with outdated playground equipment. This year, we are renovating Hamilton Park; last year, we refurbished Hardy Park, and Des Saules Park will be next, in 2023. Our goal is to ensure that our neighbourhood parks meet the current needs of our families and that they remain attractive and safe," stated Rosemère Mayor Eric Westram.
