How can I find out about the condition of the rinks?

The Town of Rosemère updates the rinks web page every Monday, Wednesday and Friday to indicate which rinks are open or closed. Please note that the web page is not modified on weekends and holidays. Otherwise, information is provided on site.

What are the criteria for opening an ice rink?

The creation of skating rinks is a complex science! To open them, several criteria must be met:

  1. The temperature must be -10 degrees Celsius and below (day and night) for several consecutive days;
  2. If the weather is too mild, the rinks become less safe and require maintenance before they can be opened again.
