Paving work on Highway 640 starting August 10

The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable has announced the start of paving work on Highway 640, between Highway 15 (Laurentian) and Chemin du Bas de Sainte Thérèse in Blainville, on August 10. The work will continue until the end of October. The main aim is to improve safety and ride comfort on this road.

Traffic management

Carried out mainly at night to limit the impact on the road network, this work will entail partial and complete closures of sections of the highway and access ramps, between Highway 15 (Laurentian) and Chemin du Bas de Sainte Thérèse:

- Eastbound: Sunday to Thursday, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Friday 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday from midnight to 8 a.m.

- Westbound: Sunday to Thursday, 10:30 p.m. to 4 a.m., Friday, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday from 11 p.m. to 8 a.m.

Please note that the speed limit may be reduced in the construction zone during these closures. Work will be coordinated to limit impacts and detour routes. During complete closures, detour roads will be marked with temporary signs.

Work may be postponed, extended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. Therefore, before taking to the road, we recommend that you consult Québec 511, a practical tool to help you plan your travel.

The Ministry would like to thank road users and local residents for their cooperation. For the safety of road users and workers alike, it is essential to respect existing signage.
