Public Consultation Report on the Plan to fight and adapt to climate change: now available

Last spring, the Town of Rosemère held a public consultation to better understand the concerns of its residents and gather their ideas on how to fight and adapt to climate change. Participation was high, demonstrating residents' interest in this issue and their willingness to contribute to the implementation of concrete measures.

The public consultation report has been posted on the website so Rosemerites can review it. It presents the survey results and the community's suggestions for adapting to the consequences of climate change.

With all this information in hand, the Town of Rosemère is continuing to develop its Plan to fight and adapt to climate change. This plan will be based on four main objectives, each with specific targets:

  • Contribute to climate change mitigation
  • Adapt the territory to climate change by strengthening its resilience
  • Protect biodiversity
  • Increase knowledge, mobilization and engagement

It should be noted that these priorities are consistent with the objectives of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal's Climate Plan.

Next steps

The next steps will be to finalize the Plan to fight and adapt to climate change, submit it to the town council for adoption and present it to the public.

The Town will keep citizens informed of the project's progress.
