Rosemère en Arts - Theme for the Fourth Edition: As the Wind Blows

The Town of Rosemère is proud to announce that the fourth edition of the Rosemère en Arts is set to take place on May 31 and June 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., in front of the Recreation Department building and Sainte-Françoise-Cabrini Church as well as in the atrium of H.J. Hemens Public Library.

The honorary chair of the event is internationally acclaimed painter Roland Palmaerts. It will feature 56 artists from across Quebec, many of whom call Rosemère home, who will be painting live and presenting their most recent works of art. The event will include a public demonstration by Palmaerts, with a lucky attendee taking the resulting painting home. There will also be a silent auction, to be held in the library atrium.

This is an excellent opportunity to discover a passionate group of artists and enjoy the many original works on display. Children will have the chance to create their own kites and pinwheels, both of which are a nod to this year’s wind-related theme. “La petite galerie” will also be back this year for our young art lovers, with a space designed to spark their curiosity as they create and explore art from a child’s perspective.

“I’m excited to invite everyone in the community to this cultural event showcasing the exceptional talent of Rosemère’s artists,” said Mayor Eric Westram. “It’s a wonderful and thoroughly engaging experience, with something for everyone, from seasoned connoisseurs to curious newcomers. Don’t miss it!”

The Town of Rosemère is proud to support this initiative with $10,000 in financial assistance as well as access to equipment and technical assistance from staff members. The Rosemère Artists Gathering (RAR) is the organization in charge of the event.

“Between the talent of the participating artists, the support of our partners and the hard work of our volunteers, this promises to once again be a real treat for the eyes and the heart,” said RAR President Caroline Foley. “I invite you all to take the time to admire each of the works on display, talk to the artists and bask in the unique energy of the experience. Thank you for joining us on this amazing art adventure!”
