Rosemère is consulting its citizens: Share your vision for the future of housing in your community

The Town of Rosemère is taking an important step forward with the development of its very first Housing Policy. This initiative follows the drafting of its Concordance bylaws, which have been in the works since the adoption, in October 2025, of the Special Planning Program (PPU) for the regional hub.

The Town aims to establish a clear housing framework to guide future projects, specify the desired types of buildings and ensure that future housing meets the current and future needs of the population.

To identify and understand these needs, the Town invites its residents to actively participate in this collective discussion in two ways:

•    Online consultation (open to all residents aged 18 and older)

From March 30 to April 17an online survey is available to its entire populationWe encourage every resident, to actively participate.

•    An in-person public consultation on April 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. (for citizens aged 55 and older only)

This event will take the form of a workshop. Citizens wishing to participate are asked to register by April 6 at 5:00 p.m. Space is limited.

About the PPU

The Special Planning Program is a component of the Urban Plan that allows for greater precision in the planning of certain strategic sectors. In the context of Regulation 24-02 of the Thérèse-De Blainville MRC, which came into force on January 21, 2025, this SPP establishes the guidelines that will steer the development of the regional hub towards 2040.

Citizens are invited to visit the project website at: https://citoyen.ville.rosemere.qc.ca/project-ppu. They will find a wealth of information there, as well as a timeline outlining the next steps.
